My 21!!! (Part 2)

Before today officially end, I want to share my story about turning into 21.

Since kid I never celebrated my birth day, also another member of my family, its not a tradition for us to do such a thing like that. As I remember, I have only twice celebrated my birthday. First when I'm 3 because the photos are still exist and second when I'm 5, we are going to McDonalds after school. And after that there's no more celebration.

That makes me a bit awkward about celebration itself. I don't know how to act, like should I smile or cry or what? And since I'm growing up, I live in the society where celebration is needed. And people nowadays do celebration with full of prepartion and euphoria. And seriously, I'm good beeing the one who prepare it but I'm not the one who should be prepared.

And today I got two sureprises. First from my friends, second from my bro and sis. And you know, I'm such as a fool because I got blank when I opened the door and there are a cake, candles, ballons, and smiles everywhere. I stand for a moment to think what should I do next? And I just give a bitter smile and covering my face, really don't know what to do.

I mean its not like I don't like it, I'm afraid they will get upset because see the way I react. But I'm the one who prefer to choose a long text that full of wishes than a cake. I'm the one who choose a pretty picture about my stupid face rather than a birth day song. I'm the one who choose to have a kiss on cheek or forehead than the moment to blow up the candles.

Celebration is really not me.

But ya, life changes and I shoud too. So, thank you so much for so many smiles and laughs today. I love you guys more than just a word, but next year if you plan to make any sureprises, I'll swear to practice so I'm going out like a pro.

 

And turning 21 is like a mess. Yup, deadline everywhere. I mean, thesis, graduation, and other stuff of life. Being 21 would be pretty hard, but ya this is life. Happy to be 21!
